Does the prayer of one who hesitated about interrupting it after hearing a knock on the door become void?

Some scholars have gone to the extent of invalidating the prayer merely by the hesitation to interrupt it. However, the correct opinion is that hesitation does not invalidate the prayer unless one resolves to interrupt it, because the default is the continuation of the intention.
