It is permissible to include the deceased in the reward of the Udhiyah (sacrifice), by analogy with the permissibility of giving charity on their behalf. It is permissible to include the mother or grandmother in the reward of the Udhiyah, based on the Hadith of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari regarding the inclusion of the household. It is permissible for seven people to share the cost of one cow or one camel as Udhiyah for them, according to the majority of scholars, based on the Hadith of Jabir. However, it is not valid for seven people to share in sheep. It is permissible to include sisters in the reward of the Udhiyah if one of them pays the price of a share. The best practice for the one offering the Udhiyah is to combine eating from it, giving charity, and gifting.
