What is the ruling on installing a pirated Windows operating system on customers' devices in a computer maintenance shop?

The fatwa [ruling] given is the impermissibility of infringing upon protected software and exceeding the rights of its owners. The Islamic Fiqh Academy has decided that names, addresses, trademarks, copyrights, inventions, and innovations are private rights belonging to their owners and possess a financial value that is recognized by Islamic law. Therefore, it is not permissible to infringe upon them.
