Has Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ghunaiman recanted his statement that the letters of Allah and His voice are unlike the letters and voices of creation? And is what Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned regarding the issue of the letters of the Quran and the letters of the speech of created beings the truth, the creed of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah, and something agreed upon?

Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah holds that Allah speaks whenever He wills, and His speech has no end, and His voice does not resemble the voices of His creation. Similarly, Ibn al-Qayyim distinguishes between four levels of speech: the essential (or actual), the mental, the verbal, and the written, explaining that the voice of the reciter and its letters are created, but the speech is the speech of Allah.

Ibn al-Mawsili concludes that "the voice is the voice of the reciter, and the speech is the speech of the Creator," and that what emanates from the servant in terms of utterance and movements is created, whereas the Qur'an, with all its letters and meanings, is the uncreated speech of Allah.
