Is the debtor who denied his debt forgiven upon hearing news of the creditor's death, or is forgiveness postponed until meeting Allah Almighty?

The Shari'ah commands promptness in performing good deeds, including forgiveness, as Allah Almighty says: "And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous." The reward for forgiveness is immense, as Allah Almighty says: "But whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is due from Allah. Indeed, He does not like wrongdoers." Therefore, a Muslim should hasten to forgive in this world, and that is better for him and for his Muslim brother; because forgiveness in this world is realized and certain, unlike forgiveness in the Hereafter, about which the servant does not know what will transpire therein, and the narrations regarding mutual forgiveness between people in the Hereafter are not free from weakness.
