Did the Prophet, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, pray the Sunnah of Maghrib with six rak'ahs?

The regular Sunnah prayer for Maghrib consists of only two rak'ahs. A Hadith was narrated about the virtue of praying six rak'ahs after Maghrib, stating it is equivalent to twelve years of worship, but this Hadith is very weak. Other Hadiths encourage prayer between Maghrib and Isha, but all of them are weak.

It has been authentically reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) prayed between Maghrib and Isha, as did some of his Companions. It is recommended to pray extensively between the Maghrib and Isha prayers without being restricted to a specific number of rak'ahs.
