How is inheritance divided among one son, two daughters, and a wife?

If a man dies leaving a wife, a son, and two daughters, and no other heirs, then the wife receives one-eighth (1/8) due to the presence of a lineal descendant heir, based on the Almighty’s saying: "But if you have a child, then for them [the wives] is one eighth of what you leave." The remainder goes to the son and the two daughters by ta'sib (agnatic inheritance), with the male receiving the share of two females, based on the Almighty’s saying: "Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females." The inheritance is divided into 32 shares: the wife receives 4 shares, the son receives 14 shares, and each daughter receives 7 shares. The matter of inheritances must be referred to the Sharia courts for investigation and to ensure that there are no wills, debts, or other heirs.
