Hamza ibn Abd al-Muttalib, may Allah be pleased with him, was martyred on the Day of Uhud at approximately 56 years of age. He was born in the same year as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and they were foster-brothers, having been suckled by Thuwaybah, the freed slave of Abu Lahab.
