Is a son's participation in a mixed festival involving music and unveiled women, his shaving of his beard to please his mother who ordered him to do so, and his going with her despite his initial refusal, considered a case of prioritizing obedience to the created over the Creator?

Obedience to parents is only permissible in what is good, and it is not permissible to obey them in what is forbidden or reprehensible, such as prohibited singing, attending mixed gatherings, or shaving the beard; because "there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to Allah." It is advised to be gentle and affectionate towards the mother, to apologize kindly, and to supplicate for her guidance.
