Your parents are your gate to Paradise, so be careful not to lose it. You are not obliged to obey them in divorcing your wife, as long as the reason for the command to divorce is not religious. There is no sin in disobeying them regarding selling your house, as long as you need to do so to pay off your debt. Nevertheless, seek their رضا (رضا) even if you have not wronged them, for in their رضا is the رضا of the Lord, and in their anger is His anger.
