Is it obligatory for the wife to obey her husband concerning traveling to America to visit him with their daughters, despite her fears of aggression against Muslims, her fear of traveling alone by plane, and her concern for her daughter's educational level?

The wife must reside where her husband resides and obey him in moving with him from one country to another, unless there is a legitimate excuse or a real fear for her safety on the road or in the destination country. If the wife believes that traveling without a mahram (definition) is not permissible, she is not obligated to obey her husband in that regard. It is advisable to communicate and consider the best interest, while being aware of the dangers of residing in non-Muslim countries and the obligation of hijra for those who fear fitna.
