What is the way to get rid of hypocrisy (riya') and be keen on dedicating one's intention solely to Allah Almighty, amidst the struggle with oneself and Satan, and is admonishing others after committing a sin considered a form of hypocrisy to alleviate feelings of guilt?

Enjoining good and forbidding evil are characteristics of the people of faith. However, the one who enjoins must not contradict his words with his actions. Rather, he should enjoin good and himself practice it, and forbid evil and himself refrain from it. Although it is not appropriate for someone who commits a sin to preach, it is not considered hypocrisy. The preacher must repent from sins and continue to enjoin good and forbid evil, striving to abandon those sins. Furthermore, striving against one's self to eliminate ostentation is a righteous deed, and one should not pay attention to the whispers of Satan that claim ostentation, in order to divert the servant from good deeds.
