Imam Al-Susi does not have an independent recitation (qira'ah); rather, he has a narration (riwayah) from Abu Amr ibn Al-Ala' Al-Basri. His name is Salih ibn Ziyad/Abu Shu'ayb, from the city of Al-Ahwaz. His narration did not become famous in any Islamic country, whereas the narration of his colleague, Hafs ibn Umar Al-Duri, became famous in regions like Somalia, Abyssinia, and Sudan. As for the reciter Sheikh Abdurashid Sufi, he is Qatari of Somali origin.
