What is the Islamic legal ruling concerning a man divorcing his wife with "triple talaq" – especially given his frequent absence from home, his wearing of Western clothes and gold jewelry, his smoking, his shaving of his beard and mustache, his failure to perform prayers, and his admission that he does not pray?

This divorce is considered a triple divorce according to the majority of jurists and the four schools of thought. Consequently, the husband has exhausted the divorces permitted to him by Islamic law, and the wife has become unlawful for him until she marries another man out of genuine desire and intercourse takes place. If the second husband divorces her, she becomes lawful for the first husband again with a new contract and dowry, if she agrees. It is seen that God has delivered her from this man and compensated her with someone better. If he wishes to reconcile with her, she should refer her case to the Sharia court, as the occurrence of a triple divorce with a single utterance is a matter of scholarly disagreement that can only be resolved by a court ruling.
