It has been previously stated that drawing animate beings with complete features is forbidden, and that designing their characters through software has the same ruling as drawing. Excluded from this prohibition is when the image is incomplete in a way that life cannot exist without it – such as the head or chest – as well as when the facial features are not clear. If the image is complete, drawing glasses and a mask on it does not remove the prohibition. However, if the image is only of the head and neck, then drawing it is permissible in any manner.
