What is the way to combine prayer and study when there is something that prevents it?

It is recommended to fear Allah and to be sincere in one's intention when seeking knowledge, to free one's heart from distractions, to remember the virtue of knowledge, to emulate the righteous predecessors, and to maintain supplications and remembrances. It is imperative to know the danger of abandoning prayer, for it is the first act of a Muslim to be examined, and it is the differentiator between disbelief and faith, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Between a man and disbelief or polytheism is the abandonment of prayer," and as Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "There is no share in Islam for one who abandons prayer." Strong prohibitions against neglecting and being lax about it have been mentioned in the Holy Quran.
