How did the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, recite Surat Al-Ikhlas and the Two Mu'awwidhat before sleeping, and is it permissible for a menstruating woman to do that, and is ablution required for her?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to cup his hands together, blow into them, recite the Mu'awwidhat (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas), and then wipe his body with them three times before sleeping. Scholars differed regarding the order of blowing and reciting, but the matter is flexible. It is permissible for a menstruating woman to perform acts of remembrance (adhkar) and recite the Qur'an without touching the Mus'haf (physical copy of the Qur'an), and ablution is not required for this.
