A conditional vow ( mu'allaq) is disliked because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade it. However, if someone makes a conditional vow contingent upon something happening, and that thing occurs, then they are obligated to fulfill it, as long as it does not involve disobedience. If the contingent event does not occur, then fulfillment is not obligatory. It is not permissible to combine a vow and an ' in one sacrifice, as each is an independent act of worship.
