What should I do concerning the oaths of anger that I swore and did not expiate, and whose number I have forgotten?

A Muslim must guard his tongue from excessive swearing by Allah, lest the greatness and awe of Allah depart from the heart. Allah Almighty said: "And do not make Allah an excuse in your oaths," and "And guard your oaths." Allah has associated excessive swearing with reprehensible descriptions, saying: "And do not obey every perjurer, worthless a slanderer, going about with calumnies a hinderer of good, transgressing, sinful." You must know the number of oaths you have broken and expiate for them, or take precautionary measures if you cannot ascertain a definite number.
