I have a question about my work in the field of IT and my ambition to establish a global company, but I wonder about the ruling on a veiled woman working in a mixed environment with unveiled women present, especially given the fatwas that prohibit women from working in mixed settings. My goal is to please Allah, serve the Ummah, and prove that Islam supports science. Is this endeavor permissible?

All praise is due to Allah, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. We appreciate your zeal in supporting Islam. Women have a role in this, just like men, and it is not permissible for a woman to work in a place where there is unlawful mixing except in cases of necessity. A woman's staying in her home is better and is the fundamental principle, but it is permissible for her to go out to work if it adheres to Islamic regulations. If she works in a place where there are immodestly dressed women, she should advise and guide them with gentleness and wisdom. The means of serving the religion are numerous, and a Muslim should exert their utmost effort, for Allah does not burden a soul beyond what He has given it.
