Are household chores such as cooking and cleaning religious duties for the wife, or is the husband obligated to provide her with assistance, and did the Prophet have servants?

It was previously mentioned that the preponderant opinion is that household chores are incumbent upon the wife, and therefore the husband is not obligated to provide servants. As for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he did not have servants in the known sense. Rather, he served himself and his family; he would mend his clothes, patch his sandals, and do what men do in their homes. Nevertheless, some Companions served him out of obedience to Allah and a desire for good, among them Anas ibn Malik, who served him for ten years.
