Is it permissible to transfer a plant branch from a private workplace to one's home in order to plant it?

It is not permissible to take anything that belongs to the workplace without its permission, including the aforementioned plant branch, because it is an encroachment upon people's property without right. The sin becomes greater if the plant is within the questioner's responsibility, as it constitutes a betrayal of trust. However, if permission is obtained from the workplace, there is no harm in that.
