What is the ruling on accepting a house from one's father that was built with interest from money deposited in usurious banks, or with a usurious loan taken from those banks?
It is not permissible to consume usury or to use it for food, drink, or housing, because the usurer is at war with Allah and cursed by the tongue of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. One who deals in usury must repent, and it is not permissible to accept his gift if his wealth is entirely unlawful. He must dispose of this wealth by giving it to the poor and needy. If one of his children is poor and he does not spend on him, he may give him this house like any other poor Muslim.
