Is it permissible for a divorced woman to ask a man proposing to her about certain sexual matters that she deems important to know the extent of his fulfillment of her desire?

Islam has preserved the relationships between individuals, prohibiting relations between a non-mahram (definition) man and woman except through a lawful marriage. A man should not address a woman, nor vice versa, except out of necessity and within the bounds of decorum and ethics, as Allah Almighty said: "And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts," and He said: "Then do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should covet, but speak with appropriate speech." As for engaged couples, they are still non-mahram to each other, so it is impermissible for them to converse in a way that incites desires, or to be in seclusion. However, there is no objection to the woman inquiring about the suitor's condition within the bounds of decorum. It is recommended to accept a suitor who possesses religious commitment and good character, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If there comes to you one whose religion and character you approve, then marry [your daughter] to him." If the suitor is religiously and morally upright, then marriage to him should be accepted. If, after marriage, a defect appears that prevents him from fulfilling her sexual desire, such as impotence, she has the option to separate.
