Do the noble verses: "And those who guard their private parts Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors" apply to masturbation, especially if it is merely thoughts and imaginations while sleeping on one's stomach and leads to sexual orgasm, without touching the genitals?

Masturbation is forbidden, and scholars have adduced as proof for its prohibition the Quranic verse: "And those who guard their private parts, except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed – but whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors," and His saying, exalted be He: "But let those who find not [the means for] marriage abstain, until Allah enriches them from His bounty." Deliberately causing semen to be ejaculated through thought falls under the ruling of masturbation. As for sleeping on the stomach, it is disliked, and if it is accompanied by movement or friction leading to the emission of semen, then it is considered forbidden masturbation.
