What is the ruling of Sharia on paying the monthly installments of a usurious loan that my brother took in my name and then evaded its repayment?

Borrowing with interest is explicit usury (riba), and it is one of the major sins for which Allah has threatened those who consume it with destruction and the removal of blessings, making them declarers of war against Allah and His Messenger. As stated in the hadith: "Avoid the seven destructive sins... and consuming usury." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the consumer of usury, its payer, its scribe, and its two witnesses. The pleasure of the Creator must be prioritized over the pleasure of the creation. Sincere repentance from usurious transactions is absolutely necessary, whether for one's own benefit or for others. It is not permissible to engage in usury except within the narrowest limits of a permissible necessity, and this necessity only permits it for its owner.
