Is a person who made a covenant with God to abandon a forbidden act absolved from their vow if they committed the act forgetfully and then remembered the covenant afterward?

"The covenant with Allah Almighty must be fulfilled, and its breach necessitates repentance and expiation. The covenant is not abrogated by inadvertently committing a forbidden act; expiation for it is like the expiation for an oath. For indeed, what is forbidden is inherently forbidden, and abandoning it is obligatory. The covenant only serves to further confirm this."
