Is what someone on television said about reciting the last verses of Surat Al-Fath to expedite marriage correct, and does it have any basis in the Sunnah?

There is no religious evidence to prove any special merit for reciting the end of Surat Al-Fath for facilitating marriage. To claim so would be an innovation in religion. Whoever desires happiness and ease in affairs should fear Allah, perform good deeds, have a good opinion of Allah, and supplicate frequently. For Allah grants a good life to the righteous doer and recompenses him with good. And Allah makes a way out for those who fear Him and provides for them from where they do not expect.
