How do I rid myself of sins when I know right from wrong in Islam?

Allah has forbidden sins and provided the servant with what helps him to abandon them. Among the helpful means are: strengthening faith and the fear of Allah, being mindful of Him and remembering that He sees the servant and all his deeds are recorded, comparing the fleeting pleasure of sin with the punishment of the disobedient and the reward of the abstinent, staying away from the means of sin such as unlawful gazes, bad company, and places of sin, and being keen to sit with and accompany the righteous.
