How can I be guided to the path of truth and repent from sins such as abandoning prayer, fornication, and speaking with young men, despite my fear of Allah and my knowledge of my shortcomings in religion?

Immediate repentance from sins is obligatory by abandoning them, regretting them, and resolving not to return to them. What helps in this regard is: staying away from bad companions, seeking good company, consistently attending circles of knowledge and remembrance and reciting the Qur’an, and getting rid of all means that aid in disobedience. One must strive against their soul by disciplining it and accustoming it to good, and bearing in mind that the door of repentance is open until the death rattle or the sun rises from the west, for the mercy of Allah encompasses all things. As for the husband who condones indecency, he is a pimp (dayyūth) for whom Allah has forbidden Paradise.
