What is the religious ruling on a wife obeying her husband who asks her to travel to his hometown to give birth, knowing that she is exhausted in the late stages of pregnancy, and is it permissible for the husband to swear an oath of divorce if his wife does not give birth in his hometown?

A wife must obey her husband in what is right, not in what harms her. Since your wife's travel to your country at this time would harm her, she is not obligated to obey you. Regarding your oath, you can offer an expiation for breaking an oath and not divorce your wife, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever takes an oath and then sees something better than it, let him do that which is better and offer expiation for his oath." The expiation is to feed ten poor persons or to clothe them, or to fast for three days if you cannot find that.
