Are there any special, legitimate matters with which a Muslim receives Ramadan?

The month of Ramadan is the best month of the year. Allah has singled it out by ordaining its fasting as the fourth pillar of Islam, and by legislating its night prayers. Muslims welcome Ramadan with joy, happiness, and gratitude to Allah for allowing them to reach it, for reaching it is a great blessing. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to give his companions glad tidings of Ramadan's arrival, explaining its virtues and rewards. It is legislated to welcome it with sincere repentance and to prepare for its fasting and night prayers with a righteous intention and a firm resolve.
