What is the expiation for swearing a false oath during the daytime in Ramadan, and the expiation for this day of Ramadan?

Intentionally swearing a false oath is an oath of immersion (Yamin al-Ghamus), and it is one of the major sins, the sinfulness of which increases in Ramadan. Its expiation, according to the majority of scholars, is sincere repentance (Tawbah Nasuh) and seeking forgiveness. However, the Shafi'is hold that an expiation for an oath is obligatory (feeding ten poor people, or clothing them, or freeing a slave, or fasting three days if one cannot find the former). Fasting is not invalidated by sins that are unrelated to the desires of the stomach and the private parts; rather, these sins affect the reward of the fasting person. Sincere repentance expiates all sins.
