The answer

The uncle must refine his nephew's character through advice, gentleness, and wisdom, especially with adolescents and adults. He should not resort to striking unless other means prove ineffective. If the father is alive, he has the primary right to discipline. If the father is deceased or incapacitated, then the uncle is in the position of the father. If the uncle's striking is for discipline after exhausting advice and does not exceed the limit, he is not considered unjust. Otherwise, he is not in the right. The wronged child has the right to defend himself, but patience and forgiveness are better.
