What is the ruling on enlarging the buttocks through cosmetic surgeries?

Cosmetic procedures are divided into two types: forbidden if they are for enhancing beauty and making a permanent change to creation, and permissible if they are for removing a disfigurement or defect, averting a significant psychological harm, or are temporary.

Accordingly, buttock augmentation is not permissible if the buttocks are in their natural state. However, it is permissible if they are unnatural and cause significant psychological harm, provided that Islamic legal conditions are observed, such as the purity of the materials and their freedom from harm.

The permissibility of these procedures requires: the absence of other alternatives to surgery, that they do not result in harm greater than the original harm, and that the surgeon ensures the materials used are free from long-term side effects.
