Is it permissible for me to pray during Salah that I marry a specific man?

The majority of jurists hold the view that it is permissible to supplicate in prayer for various worldly matters. They base their argument on the Hadith narrated by Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said at the end of the tashahhud: "Then let him choose whatever supplication he wishes." The Hanafis and most Hanbalis, however, disagreed, stating that it is not permissible to supplicate for worldly matters during prayer and that the prayer of one who does so is invalidated. The correct view is that of the Malikis and Shafi'is, due to the strength of their evidence. Supplicating for marriage to a specific person is permissible, though it is preferable to use comprehensive and reported supplications. It is also advised not to overthink this matter, as Allah Almighty destines good wherever it may be.
