Is the transgressing party against me or against the Mother of the Believers, Aisha? Thank you.
We must refrain from discussing the disputes that arose among the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them. Allah has purified our swords from their strife, so let us purify our tongues from it. Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz was asked about this and he said: "That was a nation that has passed on. To them belongs what they earned, and to you belongs what you earned. And you will not be asked about what they used to do."
Hafiz al-Hakami said: "Then silence is obligatory regarding what transpired between them of deeds that were decreed, for all of them were diligent (mujtahid) and rewarded; their errors are forgiven by the Bestower."
What occurred between Aisha and Ali did not involve an oppressive party and another oppressed party; rather, it was due to infiltrating hypocrites.
