It is permissible to marry a girl who has embraced Islam, as well as a chaste Jewish or Christian woman. It is, however, recommended to choose a wife who possesses religious devotion, good character, and honor, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Choose carefully for your offspring, marry the compatible, and marry into their families." As for the statement mentioned in the question, it has not been found.
