Are friends who become angry when a husband refuses to let his wife go out with them unfit for friendship?

The husband's rights over his wife are great, and obedience to him in what is good is obligatory. Therefore, it is not permissible for the wife to leave his house without his permission, except in case of necessity. Nor is it permissible for her to allow anyone into his house except with his permission, even if it is a woman or one of the wife's mahrams. Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "It is not lawful for a woman to fast while her husband is present except with his permission, nor to allow anyone into his house except with his permission." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) also said: "And you have the right that they (your wives) should not allow anyone whom you dislike to tread upon your furnishings."

It is therefore obligatory for the wife to obey her husband if he forbids her from going out with women who incite her to disobey him. Rather, she should seek the companionship of righteous women who remind her of Allah and cooperate with her in obeying Him, in fulfillment of the saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him): "Do not associate except with a believer..."
