The answer

Following funeral processions is a right a Muslim has over his brother. Whoever attends the funeral until the prayer is performed will receive a Qirat, and whoever attends it until the burial will receive two Qirats, like two great mountains. And whoever carries the deceased or participates in carrying them until burial will receive a great reward, for the principles of Sharia indicate the permissibility of this, as it involves showing kindness to the deceased. However, if carrying the deceased would lead to the harm of jostling, then repelling harm takes precedence over gaining benefits.
