Please explain to us the status of prayer (Salah) in the Islamic religion.

Prayer holds a great status in Islam; it is the pillar of the religion, coming after the two testimonies as proof of the soundness of belief. It was ordained on the Night of Mi'raj, specifically distinguished by Allah's love and its sublime status. Prayer expiates sins, it is the last thing to be lost from the religion, and the first thing a servant will be questioned about on the Day of Judgment. So, whoever safeguards it will succeed and prosper.
