Al-Mukhtar ibn Abi Ubayd did not marry the daughter of Abdullah ibn Umar. Rather, he married Amrah bint al-Nu'man ibn Bashir al-Ansariyyah. Amrah claimed that al-Mukhtar was a prophet, so Mus'ab killed her by patient execution after she refused to disavow him. As for al-Mukhtar's sister, she was the wife of Abdullah ibn Umar, and she was among the devout and righteous women. She passed away during his lifetime and narrated from Umar and Hafsa.
