Is the adulterer punished with poverty and lack of blessing in this world, and what is the solution for that?

Adultery is one of the sins that bring affliction, calamities, and corruption to livelihoods, as Allah says: "And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; and He pardons much." (Quran 42:30). Furthermore, the prevalence of adultery in a people brings down Allah's punishment upon them. However, linking adultery specifically to a lack of blessing and poverty has not been established in authentic hadiths from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Deliverance from the effects and punishment of adultery is achieved through repentance, abundant seeking of forgiveness, and following evil deeds with effacing good deeds, as Allah says: "Indeed, good deeds do away with evil deeds." (Quran 11:114).
