Is it permissible to dispose of a sum of money of unknown source that was deposited into a current account approximately a year and a half ago, and can it be given as charity, or a portion of it?

The bank management must be informed of an increase in the account. If it was deposited by mistake, the bank will retrieve it and return it to its owner. However, if it is usurious interest, it must be spent on Muslim welfare projects, and the account should be closed, because dealing with usury is forbidden. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who pays it, its scribe, and its two witnesses.
