Is our Master Abraham, peace be upon him, buried in Hebron in Palestine, or is the grave there merely a shrine?

The correct view is that the grave of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) is in Hebron, Palestine, and this is the opinion of the majority of scholars. All the graves of the prophets are unknown, except for the grave of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in Medina, and the grave of Ibrahim in Hebron. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned that Muslims used to pray in a mosque in the village of Hebron, and they would not enter the Solomonic wall that was around the grave. Then the wall was breached and a door was made in it. It is said that the Christians breached it and made it a church. Then, when the Muslims took the lands from them, it was made a mosque. For this reason, the righteous scholars among the Muslims would not pray in that place even if the grave was authentic. So how can it be, when most of the graves attributed to the prophets are false, such as the grave that is said to be the grave of Noah, for it is undoubtedly false.
