Is money earned from winning competitions in a phone application, which rely on answering questions or matching numbers, permissible or impermissible, and is it permissible to donate a portion of it?

Some scholars permit competitions in which the participant pays nothing, and they deem the money earned from them lawful. Among these scholars is Sheikh Ibn 'Uthaymeen. However, according to the majority of scholars who forbid it, it is not permissible to participate in such competitions, nor is the money earned from them lawful.
