What is the ruling on a 13-year-old girl dealing with jinn solely for the purpose of undoing magic, without seeking information about the future or palmistry?
It is not permissible to deal with jinn, even if such interaction is free of seeking their aid, claiming knowledge of the unseen, or practicing magic. This is because it is a means (dhari'a) to seeking their polytheistic aid and becoming attached to them, which weakens one's reliance on Allah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) and his companions did not deal with them. Magic is undone by dhikr (remembrance of Allah) and lawful supplications, not by seeking the jinn's aid, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) did when Jibreel recited over him or when his magic was removed. Whoever deals with jinn must beware of the tribulation of being gradually lured and seduced.
