Is randomly downloading from the Internet, the content of which cannot be controlled and may contain offensive files, considered Islamically forbidden by analogy with the ruling on alcohol?

Allah commanded us to avoid forbidden things and their preambles. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, informed us that whoever grazes around a sanctuary is likely to fall into it. Most "random download" materials are forbidden images and films, and their harm is greater than their benefit. Averting harms takes precedence over acquiring benefits. Dealing with it is like a night gatherer of wood, who comes across things that harm him. The corruption of hearts and morals is more severe than a scorpion's sting. As Imam Ahmad said: "How many a glance has cast turmoil into the heart of its beholder."
