Is the sound of thunder the voice of angels, and are the narrations mentioned in this regard authentic?

We have previously discussed the sound of thunder. As for the hadiths, Al-Bukhari transmitted the first hadith as a mawquf narration attributed to Ibn 'Abbas, and Al-Albani graded it as hasan (good). Al-Albani also authenticated the hadith narrated by Al-Tirmidhi. Al-Haythami mentioned that its narrators are trustworthy, and it was authenticated by Ahmad Shakir and Al-Albani. This hadith finds support in the Qur'an, in the verse: "And the thunder exalts [Allah] with praise, and [so do] the angels from fear of Him."
