The answer

There is no bad omen in a black garment, unless its wearer intends something by it. It has been authentically reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to wear black garments. In Sahih Muslim, it is narrated from Amr ibn Hurayth, who said: "It is as if I am looking at the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on the minbar, wearing a black turban, the ends of which he had let down between his shoulders." And from Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, who said: "The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, went out one morning wearing a patterned cloak made of black hair."
